Tripoli - Dr. Abdurrahim El-Keib was a scholar and politician electronic Libyan National Transition Council (NTC). In the trial NTC to choose a new head of the Libyan government on Monday afternoon (31/10/2011) yesterday, he won the most votes and approved as a board member of the Libyan prime minister.

Dr. Abdel Rahim al-Keib had worked at The University of Alabama as an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering in 1985 and became professor in 1996. He has taught at the University of Tripoli, North Carolina State University, The University of Alabama, the American University of Sharjah, and the last at The Petroleum Institute in the United Arab Emirates. He became a mentor several MSc theses and PhD dissertations, and won several awards for his services in the fields of education and science
and technology research

Dr. al-Keib do some research in the field of Electrical Power Engineering and written numerous research papers. During this research was sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), the U.S. Department of Energy (U.S. DoE), Southern Company Services (SC), and Alabama Power Company (APCO). He has published several papers, research reports, essays and books. He worked as a consultant to several industrial companies, including Alabama Power Company and Southern Company Services.

He is listed as a member of the board of directors of the Arab Science and Technology Foundation (2001-2007), member of the commission of science and technology the Islamic Development Bank, a senior member of the World Science and Engineering Academy and Society (WSEAS) Transactions
on Power Systems, a member of the board of supervisors The Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers (KIEE) / Society of Power Engineering, and the board of Trustees of the International Journal of
Innovations in Energy Systems and Power (IJESP).

After completing his teaching duties at The University of Alabama, he spent two years (1999-2001) to teach at The American University of Sharjah, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. He held the position as director of the division of electrical, electronics, computers and machinery. Together with his colleagues on the faculty, he founded the division, and received national accreditation Arab Emirates. During
the division lead, he has formed and headed many committees for the sake of advancing the S2 and S3 in the field of electrical engineering.

Viewed from the educational background and his work, Dr. Abdel Rahim al-Keib quite known among Western and Arab countries. It makes sense if reversed desirability himself as the new prime minister
of Libya protruding hope the management of energy resources and natural wealth better Libya. Despite
