Tripoli - The possibility of the presence of foreign troops in Libya crusaders would exacerbate a crisis that has hit the North African country after the fall of dictator Muammar Gaddafi, an analyst said.
"If foreign troops to Libya, then these forces will emerge as the occupying forces, and this will be a barrier for resistance that has been championed by the Libyan people in the past against the Italian occupation," said Khaled El Shami, a political editor for the online sites of Al Quds, in a joint interview on Friday (26/08/2011).
His comments came after Mahmoud Jibril, executive director of the NTC, it is possible that it requires the presence of international military forces in Libya to 'create peace and security' post-Gaddafi.
El Shami further said that the Arab community was celebrating the overthrow of the other dictators in the Arab world. He added that the deployment of foreign troops in Libya will appear as a source of disappointment for the people like in Bahrain and Yemen, where they fought to achieve freedom and independence during several months.
"I think they (NTC) will lose the sympathy and support that they currently enjoy from the Arab world if they allow foreign troops set foot in this country," he said.
The analyst was also stressed that the presence of foreign troops, especially U.S. forces, would invite Al Qaeda network to establish a branch in the North African country.
