CAIRO - Turkey says their warships will escort the fleet of aid to Gaza. Turkey is also not tolerate attacks against aid ships as in 2010, where Israeli troops attacked the Mavi Marmara, killing nine Turkish volunteers.

"The warship Turkey has been given a mandate to protect the Turkish ships carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza, and from now on, we will not let our aid ships attacked by Israel," said Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, was quoted by Reuters, Friday (09/09/2011).

Turkey was serious in responding to the actions of Israel did not want to apologize for his attacks on the Mavi Marmara in 2010. Turkey also began to intervene to stop Israel's unilateral attitude of exploiting natural resources in the Mediterranean Sea.

Erdogan's statement, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Yigal Palmor Israel simply stated, Erdogan words inappropriate for comment.

Relations Turkey and Israel which is a partner of the United States looks worse from day to day. Turkey also did not seem to want to improve its relations with Israel and promised to increase patrols in the Mediterranean sea.

Turkey had earlier urged Israel to apologize for his attacks on the Mavi Marmara and promised, with the apology, Turkey and Israel relations would be restored, but Israel still refused to apologize and justify its attacks on Turkish ship volunteers.

Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) Ban Ki Moon has also urged both parties to make peace because the relationship of Israel and Turkey will have an impact on the peace process in Middle East
