French armed opposition fighters Libya

Tripoli - France has given the opposition fighters Libyan weapons and food earlier this month for their memprkuat army loyalists in the battle against Gaddafi.
"Humanitarian conditions worsened and at one point seemed to threaten the security situation of civilians who can not defend themselves," claims a spokesman for the armed forces of France, Thierry Burkhard, told Reuters on Wednesday (06/29/2011).
"Therefore, France is also sending equipment that allows them to defend themselves, consisting of small arms and ammunition," said Burkhard stated that
they had also sent medicine and food.
The newspaper Le Figaro said on Wednesday (29 / 6) that the French had
fielded "numerous" weapons including rocket launchers, assault rifles, machine guns, anti-tank missiles to the region of Western Jebel Nafusa in Libya.
