Protest continues in Afghanistan burning the Quran

KABUL - A group of people held a protest against the U.S. in the Afghan capital, Kabul, for the sixth consecutive day after the burning of the Koran by a pastor in Florida.
The demonstrators condemned the desecration of the Qur'an in the United States and called for the withdrawal of US-led foreign troops from the war-torn Afghanistan, reported Press TV on Thursday (07/04/2011).
Hundreds of Afghan students also held a similar protest at the University of Kabul a day earlier, shouting anti-US slogans, calling on the courts for those who desecrate the holy book of Muslims.
Protest against burning of the Koran at a U.S. church began in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif, northern Afghanistan on Friday last week and then spread to all major cities in Afghanistan.
At that time, seven UN foreign staff were killed when a very angry protesters stormed the UN headquarters in the city.
On 20 March, the pastor Wayne Sapp burn the holy book Quran under the supervision of the controversial pastor, Terry Jones in Florida.
Last year Jones get the international outcry over his idea of planning to burn the Quran to commemorate the events of 9 / 11.
