*Duration:* 6+ months
*Description*:
The QA Tester will be responsible for the development of procedures and

meeting applicable deadlines within the GRAIL Remediation Project
as
communicated by the QC Manager or assigned Project Lead. The
candidate
should have experience as an application tester, with
experience in manual
testing and sound experience in
writing/developing test cases for both
system and user acceptance
testing.
- Prepare Test cases, Test scripts, Test reports
and Metrics
- Execute Test cases and Test scripts

Report Test Status to QC Lead / QC manager
- Follow established
QC procedures and processes to ensure quality in
deliverables
- Ensure defects are logged and tracked
- Participate in QC
testing and sign-offs before turnover to Production
release,
ensuring product conforms to specifications
- Assist manager in
development of detailed work plans
- Attend status meetings.
Attend requirements and design walk-through
meetings as needed.
Prepare Testing meetings and maintain related meeting
minutes.
Update and maintain documents on Star Team.
- Act as a “partner”
assisting GC IT managers and staff in the
development of both
technology-based and process-based Testing solutions
- Promote
relationships between the QC group and other IT groups
- Support
developers and BRM team throughout the development and testing

process, ensuring that Test cases and scenarios are stated completely
and
unambiguously, and that open issues are addressed properly
*Required Skills: *
3 - 5 years QA / IT experience in the
insurance / re-insurance industry with
understanding of
re-insurance and financial processing
Strong understanding
of programming languages (Oracle, Oracle Forms)
Extensive SQL
background required
Significant experience in testing Client Server
applications
Ability to decipher requirements and test scope when
documentation is
unavailable
Ability to create screen
designs/mock-ups, and report definitions
Must have strong
communication and follow up skills (verbal/written)
Ability to work
independently and assertively and maintains thorough
attention to
details
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office with strong ability to
create
documentation and presentations and develop spreadsheets
Strong SDLC Knowledge
BA/BS a must.
QA
certification a plus (from PMI, QAI, IIST or other organization)
