Afghan officials: U.S. Chinook was shot down as it enters the trap Taliban

Citing intelligence gathered in the area of the incident, blaming officials Qahi Tahir, commander of the Taliban for masterminding the attack. He said four Pakistanis to help Tahir in the attack.
He said intelligence had shown that the U.S. Chinook dropped by shooting from different directions using "modern weapons" without giving further details.
The helicopter was attacked from both sides of the valley, the route is only possible through the Sayedabad district, Wardak province where the attack happened on Friday night.
"The Taliban know exactly which route will take the helicopter," he added.
"That's the only way, so they took up positions on both sides of the valley in the mountains as the helicopter approached and they attacked with rockets and other modern weapons. Heli fell by a few shots, "he said.
