Researchers from the International Institute of Advanced Telecommunications Research (ATR), Japan Takashi Minato create human-like mobile phone. Mobile is a human-like outer layer of skin that allows the user to feel closer to people who are Calling / call.

This project is a collaboration between the University of Osaka, the cellular operator NTT DoCoMo. Mobile is a bit bigger than the palm of the hand and has a LED in the chest that turns blue when the phone is in use and red when in standby. Design 'human' mobile phones rather vague, so you can see it as a male / female or young and old. The plan is to add voice and face recognition and on production during the next 5 years.
