Requirements:

Linux, Solaris, VMware, Shell Scripting

6+ years combined hands-on experience supporting Solaris and Redhat.

Demonstrated high proficiency in Solaris 10 and Linux Administration Solid
understanding of a UNIX-based operating systems Solid understanding of
networking concepts and principles of routing with regards to firewall
access Ability to troubleshoot software/hardware configuration problems
Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation Strong knowledge
of TCP/IP Networking Understands boot process and run levels, paging and
swapping, inter-process communication, functions of devices and device
drivers and file system concepts Solaris Packages and RPM maintenance and
participate in patch management Knowledge of capacity monitoring and
management of UNIX servers Knowledge of Jump/Kick start server along with
network installation a must A proven ability to meet and adapt to new
challenges.

Willingness to work in a high-volume environment with multiple project
deadlines simultaneously Good knowledge of VMware and virtualized
environment Good knowledge of Solaris zones/containers/LDOMs Knowledge of
VCS clustering, NIS+, NFS, Volume manager Understand the basics of load
balancers Strong knowledge of Unix shell scripting Independent
problem-solving skills and time management Strong interpersonal and
communication skills Working knowledge of setting up and supporting external
storage (SAN/NAS)

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Perform general, senior-level systems administration functions for various
versions of Red Hat Linux and Solaris Build out server infrastructure per
application requirements and build scripts Patch and Package management
Backup and restore procedures Write scripts as necessary to automate
everyday tasks
