16 U.S. mortar hit Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - US led forces in Afghanistan fired at least 16 mortars from the province of Khost on the border of Afghanistan into the northwest Pakistan on Thursday (29/09/2011).
There were no casualties in the incident.
Local sources also added that five NATO helicopters flew over the North and South Waziristan area on Thursday morning (29 / 9).
Mortar attack comes amid rising tension between Washington by Islamabad.
Not long ago the U.S. Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen, claiming that Pakistan's intelligence agency, the ISI, which supports the Haqqani network in the U.S. is the brain behind the attack on the U.S. Embassy in Kabul.
Responding Mullen, Secretary of Pakistan, Hina Rabbani Khar, rejected U.S. accusations, and pointed out that Haqqani is one of the 'bouncer' CIA.
Islamabad has repeatedly criticized Washington for an illegal attack unmanned U.S. aircraft on Pakistani soil, and stated that such attacks have been straddling the sovereignty of his country.
According to a report by the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, about 957 citizens of Pakistan to be victims of brutal attacks U.S. during 2010.
