The U.S. tried hard to protect the attack on Osama planner Abbt-c10
WASHINGTON - The CIA has moved to protect an analyst who played a central role in covert operations to assassinate the leader of Al Qaeda, Osama bin Laden, U.S. media reported on Wednesday (13/07/2011).
A U.S. official told reporters that the move follows intelligence reports that Al Qaeda is trying to identify which U.S. agents helped plan the attack May 2 in Abbottabad.
U.S. media described the move "very unusual" for the CIA, which declined to comment on the identity of the agent and requested that the media did not print his name.
Some analysts indicate that the agent is found in the photographs displayed in the White House after the attacks in Abbottabad. He was an officer confidential.
And now he was awarded an undisclosed protection to ensure that he does not become the target of Al Qaeda. He identified with the middle name "John".
He watched the team involved in a number of stages of a plan of attack bin Laden.
For nearly a decade, John's main job is to find Osama Bin Laden.
He also reportedly was one of the people involved behind the arrest of prominent al-Qaeda figures, including Abu Zubaydah, Abd al-Nashiri, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, Ramzi bin Alshib, Hambali and Faraj al-Libi, and an advocate for increasing the intensity of drone attack in Pakistan.
