68 Mujahideen Al Qaeda escape from Yemeni prison through a tunnel

Hadramout - A total of 68 Mujahid Al Qaeda escaped from prison on Wednesday (06/22/2011) from the central prison in the province of Hadramout, through a long tunnel they had made since last month, said the intelligence chief in the city of Mukalla, Abdullah al-Jirazie as Xinhua reported.
"Fugitive Al Qaeda also attacked some of the security forces outside the prison in the city of Mukalla, the provincial capital of Hadramout, killing one soldier and wounding two others," said al-Jirazie.
He denied that the prison was attacked by an armed group Al Qaeda, but he insisted that they flee.
Earlier a provincial official said the prison was attacked by the Mujahideen of Al Qaeda using machine guns and grenades, said they succeeded in freeing dozens of prisoners.
Locals told Xinhua that the security forces in armored vehicles were deployed in the city after the attack in prison.
