Sheikh Ayman Az-Zawahiri of Al Qaeda officially became emir sheikh Osama replace

The statement was posted by forum Ansar al-Mujahideen distributed by the al-Fajr Media, the media wing of al Qaeda Central.

Sheikh Ayman has been viewed as a replacement for Sheikh Osama is most likely, and his whereabouts are unknown.

Believed he met with Sheikh Osama in the mid 80s in Pakistan during a guerrilla war against Soviet forces occupying Afghanistan.

In a video message disseminated through the Internet on June 8, said Sheikh Ayman al-Qaeda will continue to fight.

"Sheikh (bin Laden-ed) has gone, may God pity him, reward as a martyr and we must go on jihad to expel occupiers from Muslim lands," he said.

"Today, by permission of Allah, America will not face any individual or group, but a nation that has rebelled and woke up in the rise of Jihad to fight wherever it is."
