ISRATA - Libyan Government forces have used aircraft to drop bombs on oil storage tanks in Misrata, according to a spokesman for the rebel movement, on Saturday (07/05/2011).

Ahmed Hassan claimed that troops loyal to Mr Gaddafi has used aircraft designed to shoot weapons, opposed the no-fly zone, and destroyed several units of the fuel tank.

The UN resolution 1973, none of the aircraft are allowed to fly in airspace unless the aircraft Libya in charge of NATO's claim to enforce the resolution in order to provide protection for civilians.

The previous day, Friday (6 / 5), human rights group Amnesty International said that the siege that occurred in the town of Misrata shows the occurrence of war crimes that are not trivial.

"The scale of relentless attacks that we see through the action of forces Misrata Gaddafi in intimidating the population for more than two months is really horrible," said Amnesty adviser, Donatella Rovera.

"This shows the ignorance of the lives of civilians and clearly violate international humanitarian law," he said.

"The international community must provide all possible support, whether financial or otherwise, to agencies trying to prosecute those responsible for crimes against humanity."

Meanwhile, in London, the British prime minister David Cameron has discussed the situation with Libya, French President Nicolas Sarkozy by telephone.

"The Prime Minister has talked with President Sarkozy night about the efforts of the international community to protect civilians in Libya," said one British official.

"They agreed to prioritize the military pressure, political, and economic, for the sake of isolating the regime of Gaddafi," he continued

"The leaders also stressed that the departure Gaddafi is an important step to ensure that Libya will become stable and peaceful, and allows people of Libya to determine their own future."
